Shandong Science has been awarded the honorary title of "Top 100 Scientific Journals" in the "2026 Demonstration Case Library of University Scientific Journals Construction in East China".
From March to April 2026, the East China Editorial Association organized the "Demonstration Case Library of University Science and Technology Journals in East China Region - Collection of Top 100 Science and Technology Journals" event. After preliminary evaluation and recommendation by each province (city) and final evaluation by the Executive Council of the East China Editorial Association, a total of 114 high-quality journals were successfully selected. This recognition will further enhance the exemplary role of journals and contribute to the high-quality development of regional science and technology journals.
Shandong Science is a comprehensive academic journal of natural sciences sponsored and managed by Qilu University of Technology (Shandong Academy of Sciences). Established in 1984, it is a core journal of science and technology in China, a core academic journal in China by RCCSE, an applied core journal in China by CACJ, an excellent science and technology journal in Chinese universities, a journal included in the China Open Access Journal Database (COAJ), and a cluster (group) pilot project (Category A) journal under the Excellence Action Plan for Chinese Science and Technology Journals (Phase II). Additionally, in 2026, "Shandong Science" was officially included in the internationally renowned Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), a directory of open access journals.
