On April 10, 2026, the Second Symposium on High-Quality Development of Applied Journals in China was successfully held in Nanning, Guangxi, hosted by the China Science Evaluation Research Center of Wuhan University and the Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Services in Digital Publishing under the Ministry of Education. During the event, the "China Applied Journal Evaluation Research Report (2025 Edition)" (CACJ) was officially released. Through comprehensive multidimensional evaluation and rigorous selection, Shandong Science was once again recognized as a core applied journal in China, while Journal of Qilu University of Technology was again designated as an extended applied journal in China.
The "China Applied Journal Evaluation Research Report (2025 Edition)" employs a classification comparison and multi-dimensional evaluation approach, grounded in the comprehensive knowledge service ecosystem of applied journals. It innovatively constructs the PCSR evaluation model, establishing a systematic journal evaluation framework centered on four dimensions: content production, knowledge dissemination, social service, and reputation performance. This evaluation covers 17 major industry categories and 3 comprehensive categories, ultimately selecting 80 authoritative applied journals, 340 core applied journals, and 458 core (extended) applied journals.
This selection marks the continuous recognition by authoritative evaluation agencies of the academic quality, industry influence, and applied value of Shandong Science and Journal of Qilu University of Technology. The editorial team will take this opportunity to steadfastly uphold the content quality as the lifeline, deepen research in applied fields, continuously enhance journal management standards and service capabilities, and contribute greater efforts to promoting academic innovation and advancing industry technological progress.
