We addressed the impact of cold wave and thunder storm weather on offshore wind power, sea state and sea wave of Lianyungang sea area based on cold wave on December 21, 2008, and thunder storm on May 30, 2010. For cold wave weather, sea state and wave gradually increased with the increase of wind speed. For thunder storm weather, sea state and wave rapidly increased with the quick increase of wind speed. Thunder storm caused more prompt variation of sea wave than cold wave, difficult to judge and prevent. For cold wave weather, we employed Wilson formula to estimate wave height of sea wave, and numerical forecasting to simulate the calculation of wave height of sea wave. This is more accurate than practical observed value, less than 10% error.
