Abstract: Apoptosis plays an important role in formation and development of a cancer. Targeting apoptotic pathway has become a significant strategy for developing chemotherapeutic agents. Marine peptides is an important source for antitumor drugs, most of which can exert antitumor effect by inducing apoptotic pathway. We survey recently discovered marine peptides and apoptotic signal pathway for drug antigenicity and drug sources in the development for such marine drugs.

Key words: apoptosis, marine peptide, antitumor
