Abstract:

This paper addresses some factors affecting the stability of underwater wet manual arc welding process based on underwater characteristics to solve the problem that the stability of arc burning and droplet transition is easy to be interfered. We survey welding process stability evaluation methods before obtain a statistical graphics method to analyze the electrical parameters of the welding process and the related time parameters. It describes a welding process more intuitionisticly and accurately. It is therefore quite significant for the research on new underwater wet welding materials, stability improvement of the welding process and quality of welding seam and the generalized applications of underwater wet welding technology.

Key words: underwater welding, manual arc welding, welding process, stability, evaluation
