Abstract:

The finite element model of the brake disc was established and the first five elastic modes of the brake disc are obtained by simulation The modal experiment was carried out and the research on experimental parameter selection, measurement point placements and modal judgment criteria were conducted. The correctness of the experimental results was verified by the fitted frequency response function curve and the modal assurance criterion. The comparison between simulation and experiment demonstrates that the modal shapes and frequencies obtained by the simulation model coincide with the experimental results basically. The research indicates that the finite element model of the brake disc can be used to predict the vibration and noise characteristics of the brake disc under constrained conditions.
