PMV index based design of indoor thermal environment comfort controller

Abstract:

In view of the issue of lacking reasonable control method in indoor thermal environment regulation, we design an indoor thermal comfort controller based on analysis of the influence of air temperature, relative humidity, mean radiant temperature and air velocity on PMV(Predicted Mean Vote) index, human body comfort model based fuzzy control, embedded chip ARM9 and wireless sensor networks. We also present its system composition and decision method. The controller not only is convenient to be deployed, but also can reduce energy consumption caused by indoor thermal environment regulation based on guaranteeing human body comfort index.
