Abstract:

We performed miniature rhizome culture in a bottle, miniature rootstock cutting of seedbed and tube seedling transplanting of miniature rootstock with the method of tube culture and micro rootstocks of Ixeris chinensis as materials to satisfy the requirements of planting and seed quality preservation. Results show that 1/4MS+IAA 0.2 mg·L-1+sucrose 20 g·L-1 with cinder as a support is the best medium for bottle reproduction of tube seedlings. Cutting of micro rootstock with 2 growing points on the seedbed with cinder as matrix is an ideal reproduction method. The transplanting survival rate of the tube seedlings of micro rhizome is 98.6%. The survival tube seedlings preserve all botany characteristics of wild Ixeris chinensis.

Key words: Ixeris chinensis, tube seedlings, micro rootstock
