Abstract:

We employ K-means clustering method to recognize a target in complex ocean scenario in view of the negatives of the traditional image segmentation approaches. Experimental results show that the K-means clustering approach can effectively extract sea targets in complex ocean scenario and keep the detailed information of a target.

Key words: digital image processing, target recognition, image segmentation, K-means clustering
