Abstract:

Rydberg wave packet that is employed to analyze the dynamics of quantum mechanical systems is a very important method for studying the relation between classical and quantum mechanics. We investigate the evolution and retrival of the Rydberg wave packet of a quantum bouncing ball in the gravitational field from autocorrelation function and probability density. Results show that the quantum system is not completely retrievable.

Key words: quantum bouncing ball, Rydberg wave packet, evolution and retrieval, autocorrelation function, probability density
