Abstract:

In this paper, a new kind of broad bandstop frequencyselective surface (FSS) based on the highpermittivity barium strontium titanate (BST) ceramic was proposed. The elementary particles of the proposed FSS were subwavelength, and it was arranged in a triangular lattice. By adjusting the resonant frequency of the unit, three resonant modes were coupled to form a stopband. The simulation results showed that when the electromagnetic wave was incident at 0 °, the stopband bandwidth of the FSS could reach 7.8 GHz. When the relative permittivity of barium strontium titanate ceramics was changed from 115 to 85, the bandstop bandwidth could be increased to 8.7 GHz. Therefore, this frequency selective surface based on the barium strontium titanate ceramic with good broadband characteristics has important military value in the field of electronic confrontation and stealth.
