Abstract:

We designed a microprocessor AT91SAM9260 and embedded operating system Linux based open traffic signal controller for satisfying the requirement of secondary development of a control scheme of an advanced user. The controller had a programming interface of a unique signal control algorithm, a 3G network communication module and a B/S mode based remote update system besides conventional functionalities of a signal controller.Practical application shows that the controller is stable and reliable. Our work will lay the foundation for the development of intheloop experiment platform of traffic signal control hardware.

Key words: signal controller, ARM9, embedded Linux, openness, application program interface
