Abstract: With our constructed cellular automata evacuation model, we address the impact of chair and desk structures in a twoexit classroom on evacuation efficiency. We also analyze the distinction of evacuation efficiencies. Simulation results indicate that training chairs with tablets increase the evacuation distance to an exit for some students. This causes the reduction of evacuation efficiency, and the time interval that all students be simultaneously evacuated may not be shortest. These results are favorable for structure design of chairs and desks in a classroom and other similar scenarios.
