Abstract: We apply digital photogrammetry to deformation observation of bridge vibration for the negatives of traditional measurement methods. We initially chose artificial marks, and deployed control points and deformation monitoring points. We then instantly captured the bridge and acquired the photos of a series of loads with a distortion eliminated digital camera under moving loads. We eventually performed data processing and graphics display with a 3D time baseline parallax method software. Results show that the approach is convenient and highly precise. It can also observe multiple points instantaneously and acquire bridge instantaneous deformation value with the accuracy of 3/1 000.
