Design and implementation of vehicle monitoring system client based on MapX

Abstract: We design a client of vehicle surveillance system with a MapX control as GIS platform. We highlight localization data protocol, data reception and preprocessing process of abnormal data. We also present the design of spatial and attribute databases. We eventually address the key technologies such as realtime vehicle localization and vehicle trace playback on an electronic map. Performance test results show that the system is stable, reliable and has interface refresh time of 1 second.
